taxi stand question...

hi all,

must head to cdg by 7:30am, and am wondering if we can just go to a taxi stand, since there%26#39;s one around the corner from us (the eiffel tower one).

or should we %26quot;call%26quot; for one, and how much extra would this be?

thanks!

Hi Ang192:

I believe that the taxis charge from where they are to your stop when the call comes in. However, I%26#39;ve always had my hotel call for a taxi, and I don%26#39;t believe it made much of a difference-maybe a euro or 2. I like the idea of knowing that the taxi is coming, rather than hoping for one to come by-especially if I have to be somewhere by a specific time.

An alternative to a taxi is a shuttle service. Many hotels have connections to these services. You can do a search for shuttles on this forum. As I recall, some of them are quite reasonable.

Bon chance and bon voyage!

Since you%26#39;re in an apartment, you should call. They charge from the taxi stand to where you are but given you%26#39;re very close that shouldn%26#39;t be much. Do be sure to allow an extra 20 minutes or so %26quot;just in case%26quot;!

Hope your trip has continued to be good - can%26#39;t believe you%26#39;re already heading back!

Hi ang192,

My hotel usually calls for me just before I am about to leave. The taxis have usually taken anywhere from a couple of minutes to 10 minutes to arrive.

Bon chance!
