Yes, encore! Paris Walks...

They are 10.00 euros / person, have a bi-lingual, and last approx. 2 hours. You can take a tour in the morning and go back on your own later that day or during your vacation to explore a little more. Check their schedule as they do not do every walk every day.

I highly recommend Paris Walks as posted above. Their tour leaders are American or Brits and are very personable and helpful. What I like best is that for *most* of the walks, you don%26#39;t have to reserve in advance; just show up and pay your 10E, so if something comes up, no money lost. I%26#39;ve taken the Marais, Montmatre and Da Vinci Code tours - all terrific! You do have to reserve the Da Vinci Code tour - just call when you arrive in Paris. Well, well worth the money and time.

We took the Montmartre and Two Island walks through Paris Walks and found them to be very good. There are brochures everywhere about them plus information on the internet. If you choose to go on either of these, please be prepared to really walk rather than just going for a short stroll and bring along some water. One of our group fainted just as the walk was about to begin and it is easy to misjudge how dehydrated you are becoming.

We did do our own walks with the assistance of guide books and found that to be fun but the Paris Walks give you a much better insight to the area.

One thing that I will say, however, is that some of our best walks were done in the evening when it was just the two of us in Paris with no destination in mind.

Paris Walks offers a wide variety of walks lead by an english

speaking guide. I have taken these walks (E10 each):

Latin Quarter

Ile de la Cite

Marais

and the French Revolution

Really enjoyed them all, hope to take another one

when I am back in Paris next month.

I echo those who recommend Paris Walks! The guides are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. We have taken at least 5 of their walks and thoroughly enjoyed all of them! Check out their website - www.paris-walks.com
