Izieu

Has anyone visited the village of Izieu, near Lyon? Memorial to children and families persecuted during the Holocaust.

Do you have any comments - is it worth going? How long did you spend there? Can you look round on your own, or is it essential to take a guided tour?

I have never been there but I am sure it is worth going.

You may visit the main house and the exibitions by yourself and there are also guided tours. Here is the website in english
