Hi, when we were in Paris in 2007 we saw many people picnicing at night on this bridge - it looked wonderful - such a buz! This year we want to do the same - is there any particular night, and time, that it %26quot;happens%26quot;? Any %26quot;protocol%26quot;/ %26quot;good manners%26quot; that we should be mindful of?

Any night of the week it happens, particularly in the warm months. No protocol or specific manners other than what you would normally do in public.

We do this once or twice a trip. We don%26#39;t usually take food but we do take a bottle of wine at about 8:00 or 9:00 in the evening, find a place by the railing, sip the wine and wait for the tower to twinkle.

Thank you - we%26#39;ll be there!!

As noted...any evening will do...though it does seem that week-ends tend to be busiest. I%26#39;ve seen couples with the proverbial %26quot;..loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and thou..%26quot; on a blanket....a bridal shower in progress with tables, presents, hats %26amp; horns, karoke, tiered cake....but the best I think was the couple who were having a private(well, semi) dinner for two, with table linen, candles, silverware %26amp; crystal, served by properly-clad waiters, from a caterer%26#39;s van parked on the quai.
