A couple of years ago my husband and I stayed at Hotel Saint Honore, 85 Rue St Honore in 1e. I have recommended it also to my sister in law more recently and she found it perfect location also for her trip on her own.

It was perfectly located, short stroll to Louvre, Les Halles around the corner ....A laundrette was a short walk away too, a great little pattiserie and cafes nearby and a fantastic Vego restaurant nearby too. It has a choice of 2 metro stops to use also. so a great base for a bunch of girls to have a fantastic weekend away!

Price was Mid 70 Euros for the two of us

Our room was big enough and comfortable, with the bathroom perfecty fine also...a little small, but fine.

We are heading back there again in October, so it must be good!

Have a great trip!

in response to my posting reply to jollyholli here recommending Hotel St Honore....avoid it, like the plague....unbelievably filthy and run down since our last visit...we returned in OCT 2007 to Paris and what a nightmare.

I have written a review listing a few of the issues...

It may be a little out of budget at EUR140/night, but the Hotel Danemark is in a good location, clean and reasonably priced. You%26#39;re paying a bit more than you wanted, but at least you%26#39;ll be in a safe/clean environment. I am staying there with a group of girlfriends as well in February so will post my feedback afterwards, but all the reviews look positive. Enjoy!

Check on the Hotel Franklin Roosevelt! It is in the 8th district abotu 2 blocks from the Champs-Élysées great for anyone in their 20%26#39;s! Enjoy!

Assuming that two(2) doubles would accommodate the four of you, that makes your hotel budget 100€-120€ per night...which puts you well within the range of most solid 2-star properties.

Check out any of these (among others) good 2-star choices in the upper-5eme-Latin Quarter and upper-6eem-Saint Germain des Prés--
