Paris to versaille

Staying Ave MacMahon in April (Arc de Triomph). Which is the best way to get to Versaille and how long do you need to spend there?

most of people use the train (RER), we have used

www.guidatours.com Half a day is enough for the visit ...

RER %26#39;C-5%26#39; ligne (heading in the direction of VERSAILLES-Rive Gauche...any %26#39;C%26#39; train with a %26#39;..Vxxx..%26#39; designation)from any of the %26#39;C%26#39; ligne stations along the Left Bank, to the end-of-the-ligne at VERSAILLES-Rive Gauche...approx 40 mins..5,60€ r.t.

To get to the RER %26#39;C%26#39; ligne from your Ave Mac Mahon location, your best bet will be to take the #6 Metro ligne (heading in the direction of Nation) to BIR HAKEIM (station should be re-opened by April) then make the Correspondance over to the CHAMP de MARS-TOUR EIFFEL RER station for the %26#39;C-5%26#39; ligne out to VERSAILLES-Rive Gauche.
