restaurant suggestions

I%26#39;m organizing a trip for a group of graduate students in Paris this summer. Can someone recommend a good, fun, and affordable restaurant that could accommodate a group of about 23?

I wouldn%26#39;t recommend these establishments on Île Saint Louis for the extraordinary quality of the food (though it%26#39;s okay)....but rather for the %26#39;..fun..%26#39; aspects of the establishments for larger groups--

La TAVERNE du SERGENT RECRUITEUR--41 rue Saint-Louis-en-l%26#39;Île (btwn: rue des Deux Ponts %26amp; rue Bude) 75004, Metro: Pont Marie--

Thank you! They certainly look like lots of fun! Any other ideas? This is a group who will be studying art nouveau, are there any good restaurants with art nouveau interiors that could accommodate the group?

Le Train Bleu has an art nouveau interior, but it%26#39;s more expensive...

%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;any good restaurants with art nouveau interiors that could accommodate the group?%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;

In the upper-6eme-Saint Germain des Prés, for good food and a great Art Nouveau interior--

RESTAURANT VEGENENDE--142 Blvd. Saint-Germain (at rue Gregoire de Tours) 75006, Metro: Odéon--

And though I wouldn%26#39;t qualify the food as in any way outstanding, CHARTIER%26#39;s, up in the 9eme is simply a Parisian %26#39;..institution..%26#39; with a well worn Art Nouveau interior..and wait staff that is still a bit in the mold of the %26#39;rude Parisian waiter%26#39; stereotype...and a bit of a hoot.

RESTAURANT CHARTIER--7 rue du Faubourg Montmartre (nr: Blvd. Montmartre) 75009, Metro: Grands Boulevards--

You could take a look at this site:

becoming a bit %26#39;touristy%26#39; now, but all of these famous brasseries with Art Novuveau and other types of stylish interiors, were SAVED and Loved by one man.

le Train Bleu may be a good choice, but not for a group. When I was there with a group, they gave us a special menu. The food was really below par.

Perhaps Cafe Marly? It is situated at The Louvre, has a terrace overlooking the Pyramid and the part of the Tuileries. Not sure of the price range, but at the very least may even make a great stop for cocktails. It does not appear that there is a website for this establishment. Also, there are a few restaurants located in the Palais Royal gardens (near Louvre) that make for very nice outdoor dining... so, would only suggest for nice weather as too small for indoor. Muscade (36 Montpensier / Tel: 01-42-97-51-36) is one that we enjoyed.
