Hi,
I am going to Paris for a 1 day shopping trip, planning for Saturday 16th Feb. I have a flight £100 LHR to CDG.
I don%26#39;t speak French but I assume that there is some English spoken - I haven%26#39;t been to France for years and I was with my school then!
I want a cheap hotel basically to keep my suitcase so I can pack my gifts properly and shop without baggage. Something very cheap as I don%26#39;t care for the facilities. Something near a metro station as I assume that is the best way to get around. I have an early flight and evening departure.
I am getting to grips with the www.ratp.info/touristes/index.php… metro interactive maps.
I think I need to catch a RER line B train from CDG to something Nord then get on the metro from there.
Any tips would be great.

The RER from CDG goes to Gare du Nord. Here is a cheap hotel across from Gare du Nord:

Then you can go shopping via the metro system, and easy access to the RER with your luggage and purchases... Be sure the RER you board to return to CDG has the %26quot;Aeroport Charles de Gaulle%26quot; lit up on the sign over the track, because the line splits at the end and you don%26#39;t want to go the wrong one.
