Hello....I have a friend looking for %26quot;hip and trendy%26quot; fun restarants to take her teens to
while on vacation in Paris? Any suggestions?

This all depends on what you mean by hip and trendy. When I think of trendy places in Paris, I think of the Hotel Costes (and all the Costes places, for that matter), the Buddha Bar, Dans le Noir, places like that. But those places are not going to be accomodating to teens. They are the %26quot;see and be seen%26quot; (well, except for Dans le Noir of course) places and are not always known for their warm hospitality.
I wonder if places like Hard Rock Cafe would be more up their alley?

I wanted to add, if they have a good sense of humor, they could go up to Le Refuge des Fondues in the 18th, where you drink from baby bottles. It%26#39;s not trendy, but it%26#39;s popular!

Definitely not Hard Rock types as they
are pretty well traveled. Thank you for the
other ideas though!

(Just as an aside, I wouldn%26#39;t bring a teen to Kong, Hotel Costes, etc. Not in a million years...no matter how trendy they thought they were...)
|||
why not bring a teen there?

There is the very hip Hotel Costes, but you need to call 48 hours in advance. Or there is the Kong Bar on top of the old Samarataine building, with wonderful views over Paris. Or there is also the Murano Restort Hotel too which is full of the beautiful crowd and this is near Republique and Le Marais.

Thanks so much!

I%26#39;ve bee to some of these places (Buddha Bar, Kong...) and I would think these would be quite boring for teens... and for me, after being at the place for half an hour... it was fun to see it... now what%26#39;s next?
I prefer wander around and find a small nice hole on the wall that all these hype nonsense, but maybe is just me.

Why not? Because many of those uber-hip places tend to treat their grown adult visitors who are not dressed quite right, who ask the wrong question, come at the wrong time, who seem a bit too %26quot;tourist%26quot; like complete dung. So that%26#39;s why I would refrain from going w/ teens.
