Angouleme

Happy weekend to all. Has anyone any flight info on flights to Angouleme from Paris, I can not find a carrier, well, it is Sunday, the clocks are moved forward, perhaps that is a good excuse.

I have no info on flights, but it is only a two hour train ride, so the rails would be a much faster way to get there, not to mention without the hassle.

While it appears that Angoulême has an airport nearby (15 km), it does not appear that there is any commercial service from Paris (there may be a commercial flight from Lyon). Most traffic into and out of here seems to be general civil and charter aviation. But there is direct TGV service to ANGOULÊME from PARIS-Gare Montparnasse in approx 2:15-30 hrs.....which will be faster,more convenient and far less expensive than any air service.

Thank you both for the info, I am a lazy traveler and still love to fly; but it is evuident that the train is better in this case. Happy weekk. Jan

According to the Angouleme airport website (found, amazingly enough by typing %26quot;angouleme aeroport%26quot; into google) there is only one flight a day, to and from Lyon.

Why fly ?? it would take you longer to get to the airport than to get the train.
