We are considering renting an apartment in Nice in the Musicians Quarter on Ave Georges Clemenceau. Is this a good central location for walking to beaches, Promonade %26amp; Old Town?

Hi Wickinish! The Musicians Quarter is a quiet residential area, populated by well-heeled residents, on the whole. It is about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the beaches and a little further to the old town. If you want to be on top of all the action ,then it perhaps a bit too far out for you, but if you prefer a relatively quiet area with good restaurants and shops then it will suit you well. Be prepared to walk a bit though.

You will be about 600 yards from the promenade, 400 from the rail station and 1,000 from the old town. Gearges Clemenceau intersects with Ave Jean Medecin, Nice%26#39;s %26#39;main street%26#39;. Should be a little quieter than some parts of central Nice where clubbers can be noisy at 4.00am.
