Yes, another question from me :)
I am thinking that we could go to the Louvre on Wed evening and than catch a boat tour on the Seine.
It is so hard to tell from the map if this is in walking distance.
So my questions are............
1. How far of a walk is it from the Louvre to the Pont Neuf boat rides? It looks like we would have to walk across the Pont Neuf bridge and take the stairs down to boats??
2. How many steps or how steep is it down to the boats? We will be traveling with someone who had surgery.
3. If this is to far to walk than what metros would we take to get there?
Again, thanks for helping me plan my first trip to Paris!!!!!!!!

Whet you want to do is to walk easterly past the pyramid into the next courtyard, then to the quay and left to Pont Neuf. It%26#39;s not very far. Yes there are steps but no worse than in the Metro.

for this type of question, a very handy tool to use is the %26quot;pedestrian%26quot; option for itinerary on www.mappy.com
It will tell you how far and how much time to walk.

The steps down to the Square Vert Gallant and the boarding quai for the VEDETTES du PONT NEUF are located at the center of Pont Neuf, BEHIND the large, bronze equestrain statue of Henri IV. The stone stair/steps down are moderate-steep...but not especially long. When you come off of the Left Bank end of Pont Neuf, remember to stay %26#39;..up..%26#39; at street level (rather than going down to the quais along the river) to make your way to Pont Neuf.
Depending on where you are--in the relation to the Louvre and the PALAIS ROYAL-MUSÉE du LOUVRE Metro stop--it could take you just as long to travel by #7 Metro the one stop from PALAIS ROYAL-MUSÉE du LOUVRE to PONT NEUF..and then walk from there across Pont Neuf to Henri IV. And this could also involve descending and ascending flights of stairs along the way....as it would to travel by %26#39;..shank%26#39;s mare..%26#39;.
