Hi There,
Going to be in Paris for 3 days in early July 08. We are looking for a cheapish hotel for three adults, sometimes triple rooms are hard to find.
Even a nicer hostel (private room) would be OK.
Thanks for your help

Try Hotwire.com. We got a week at a **** american hotel for $119.00 per night.

type %26quot;triple%26quot; and %26quot;triples%26quot; into the forum search to find the threads that list many hotels...

neworleans, which hotel did they give you, is it actually called %26quot; American Hotel%26quot; ?? That is scary cheap for a 4 star, are you sure it is in Paris and not the suburbs?? I am curious.

You can try Hotel des Grand Ecoles in the Latin Qtr.
It is very nice, quiet, and inexpensive by Paris standards

I%26#39;m going to guess the hotwire hotel was Marriott Rive Gauche in the 14th. .. or maybe something at La Defense.

Hotel Tonic Louvre on rue de Roule near Pont neuf, off rue de Rivoli, has a family room--not sure what number of beds are in this room but this hotel has AC and a great breakfast buffet which used to be included. The location is great so it%26#39;s worth a try. La Defense is too far away IMO.

We just stayed in a triple for 3 nights at the Hotel Royal Cardinal in the Latin Quarter. It was tight quarters, but definitely doable for 3 nights. The bathroom was a good size and everything was very clean. It was in a very good location (5 mins. to Notre Dame, 3 to the Pantheon) with lots of restaurants within a short walk. There is a place directly across the street that you can get inexpensive sandwiches and great crepes, and if you want to splurge a little, Chez Alexis %26amp; Daniel is right around the corner and is very good.

Small rooms but clean and nice staff, a/c and good location, Hotel Des Mines.
Small rooms, but cheap

Check out the Hotel St. Andre des Arts in the 6th arrondissement. Our family of 5 stayed there in 2004 (in 2 rooms), but I see on their website that they have triples and quads. It is very inexpensive for the neighborhood and, though simple, well-maintained and well-run. The staff is friendly, helpful, professional, and the street is central and lively day and night. The breakfast isn%26#39;t much, but the best boulangerie/patisserie we encountered in all of France is a block or two down the street.
