We%26#39;re arriving by train to Paris next May and plan to stay for 3 days in the Latin Quarter. Can anyone recommend any 2 or 3 star hotels that are located within walking distance to local transportation that will take us to CDG? If we travel with one piece of luggage each, is this %26quot;duable%26quot; or should we consider cost of taxi? Thanks!

Thank you for your hotel suggestion. Must be quite popular, as rooms are no longer available.
If anyone has any other hotel recommendations, sure would appreciate it!

Taking the RER to the St. Michel or Luxembourg station from CDG is very easy with 1 piece of luggage.
Hotel de la Sorbonne is a good 2-star within very easy walking distance of the Luxembourg station and Hotel du Pantheon a good 3-star, also very near the Luxembourg station. I have a friend who, along with many Trip Advisor members, loves the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles. It%26#39;s a somewhat longer walk to the station but still manageable and probably the best hotel for the money of any of these.
You can find both the Sorbonne and the Pantheon through the same web link: http://www.hoteldupantheon.com/
Hotel des Grandes Ecoles: http://www.hotel-grandes-ecoles.com/

EminMaine, thanks for the info. I%26#39;ve also read lots of good reviews of Hotel des Grandes Ecoles. I%26#39;ve narrowed down our search to 3 hotels, incl. this one, and will now check into availability.
