Hi there, I desperately need some help planning an upcoming trip, theres one part im having trouble with and thats getting from Biarritz over to Germany (I need to be in Aachen) so either Aachen/Cologne/Dusseldorf are ideal). Anyone done this before? If so, HOW???

If I were doing that trip, I would take the train Biarritz to Paris about 5 hours, then n hour to cross from Paris Montparnasse to Paris Est and time to have a drink! Then another train Paris Est to Aachen etc (3 hours or so Paris to Aachen, a bit more to Cologne/Dussledorf)
Ok so it would take all day but need not cost a huge amount of money and you get to see some scenery.
Check out times and fares at www.voyages-sncf.com
NB Aachen is called by its French name Aix-la-Chappelle
I have only done the Biarritz - Paris bit, no problems there and comfortable journey.

I agree with cubsur - you can book cheap %26quot;prems%26quot; tickets with with SNCF and German railways if you book far enough ahead.
There are direct trains from Paris-Aachen - 3 hours.
You can journey plan here:

I just checked cheap flights and it looks like Ryanair are starting a service 3 times a week from April between Biarritz and Frankfurt / Hahn - according to the airport website, there are coach transfers (take about 2 hours) on to Cologne railway station. It%26#39;s not very convenient, and will be subject to all the usual Ryanair baggage rules, but it is another option and could be cheaper than the train.
