Visiting Paris next month for short break....

Will be arriving on Eurostar from London for a 3 night / 4 day break for Mrs Rex%26#39;s 40th birthday. Any tips on transport to hotel once arrived in Paris?

Any ideas or tips of what to see gratefully accepted. Obviously Eiffel Tower %26amp; the Louvre are on the agenda but any suggestions other than that?

Any suggestions on hotel - looking for somewhere quite upmarket around £150 GBP per night, preferably close to the centre.

Any suggestions on where to eat?

Please use the Search function or just read on this forum for ideas. There are hundreds of entries answering your questions.

For 3 days, I recommend you do not climb the Eiffel Tower unless you do it at night. It will take too long standing in line. It is better to go to the Arc de Triomphe and see the view from the top. Then you can see the Eiffel Tower (it%26#39;s better to look at it then to look out from it). The best time to see the Eiffel Tower is at night when it twinkles for 10 minutes on the hour each hour. Fabulous.

Also, be sure to go to the Opera Garnier to do a self-tour (8 euros). I believe it is the most beautiful building in Paris. Walk around the outside and then go on a tour of the inside. Marc Chagall painted the ceiling. The entire place is absolutely breathtaking!

I wrote an 8-Part review of a 30-day Itinerary I had in Paris. It was written sometime around January 5th. That will give you some ideas. However, since it was my 4th trip, I didn%26#39;t do the first-time tourist destinations.

Again, use the Search feature here and you will get all of your answers.
