Hello, we are arriving in Orly airport on a Sunday evening at 1750. We plan to take a train from gare de lyon at 2000. Is this enough time to get to the station? What is the best way to get there considering traffic and the time of day?
thanks a lot

You%26#39;ve two choices. The first is to simply take a TAXI PARISIEN from the regular taxi rank outsode of your ORLY arrival terminal directly to GARE de LYON. The fare should run approx. 30-35€. The time will depend on the amount of surface traffic you experience at that hour---but parhaps 40-50 mins.
The alternative is to take the ORLYVAL train/shuttle to the ANTONY RER station...then the RER %26#39;B%26#39; train from ANTONY (heading in the direction of CDG or Mitry-Claye) to CHATELET-Les HALLES...then switch over (quick ligne switch) to the RER %26#39;A%26#39; ligne (heading in the direction of Boissy-Saint Léger or Marne La Vallée-Chessy) and take it one stop (don%26#39;t even bother sitting down) to the GARE de LYON RER station. Then escalators up to the SNCF portion of the Gare de Lyon station complex. The fare will be and the trip should take (reliably) 40-45 mins at that hour of the day.
You %26#39;..should..%26#39; have enough time to make the transfer and make your train at Gare de Lyon....assuming 40-60 minutes to clear arrival formalitities at ORLY and make whichever transfer you choose. But simple math dictates that you won%26#39;t have much--or any--margin for delay or error on a schedule this tight.
