antibes or nice

we are travelling to the riviera for 7 nights in late June with our three boys age 16, 13 %26amp; 11. Where is the better place base ourselves Nice or Antibes? We plan to do day trips to Monaco,Cannes and Eze. Our time will be 50% beach 50% site seeing.

For me definitely Antibes ( or possibly Juan les Pins). The beaches there are sand and much better than the rocks in Nice.

Public transport to the other places you mention is easy by train or bus (if you don%26#39;t hire a car) and Antibes is a nice town with plenty to do.

Considering you want beaches, then I think Antibes will suit you better. Nice has beaches, but they are nearly all pebbly and hard to negotiate when coming in and out of the sae (the locals wear jelly shoes!)Our boys loved Antibes when they were the same age as your sons.

You also have the famous Picasso Museum.

Agreed with upper statements: the boys will love the %26quot;remparts du vieil Antibes%26quot; and you can always take them to Marineland.

Thanks for the info. We will definately consider

Antibes.Where is the best place to situate yourself there. We would like to be close to a public beach and transit for day trips. We are looking at apartments as opposed to hotels.
