Which hotel/chateau ?????

Hi, We are booking a four night stay in the Loire Valley in May and wish to participate in a little clycling for a couple of days. We are a group of 10 and like the %26#39;fine%26#39; things in life ie good wine, nice food and nice accommodation. We are looking at either the Chateau des Ormeaux, Chateau de Challain or Chateau de Perreux, but we are having great difficulty in choosing between them, as they all look wonderful. Can anyone help us choose the best chateau in their opinion for 1st class luxury and location please. Thank you.

you mean cycling ??

I would prefer the Chateau des Ormeaux (gay welcome means often warm welcome), prices are reasonable, and well located.

Secondly Perreux, much more expensive, it seems that they do not accept credit cards, they have a dog (in case of allergy) ..

Challain is very fare from the Loire Chateaux ...

Hi, Thank you so much for your prompt reply. Yes I mean cycling. Not sure what you mean by %26#39;challain is fare%26#39;??

yes Challain is about 2h15 and 200 km from Amboise area ...and chateaux de la Loire area ...

If you are looking for 1st class comfort I think Challain is it as they spare nothing to make sure of that . I myself thought the nights sleep was the best I had in years and the rooms are very very large and of the American Class as the owners are American. I believe they are on some sort of cycling route as there was a group of cyclists taking pictures out front each day we were there. I wrote a review on the chateau but it was not posted ( don%26#39;t know why) But food is good and the chateau is comffy and I didn%26#39;t think one could call such a large chateau so comfortable. The McNeils

Hi, Thank you for your replies much appreciated. We have narrowed it down to Chateau Perreux, Chateau de Prey, Chateau de Jallanges,Chateau Domaine de la Tortiniere and chateau Chissay but struggling to decide which one. There are good and bad reports on each one which makes its so confusiing. Can anyone help please???
