Cannes cruise port to Nice

We will be arriving at Cannes Cruise port in October, and ship will be docked 8am-8pm, have already postrd on T.A. Cannes to Monte Carlo by train, however, after reading forum, would definitely like to go to Nice spend some time there, and would like perhaps go to Monte Carlo also, need help with distances from each town....(already been to Eze on a prior cruise from Villafranche, Thanks, appreciate all the info we can get..

Hi NY; This is quite some distance and may be too much ; wait for more specific replies from the experts. Whatever you do, go to the furthest away place first and head back towards the ship for your second stop. If you%26#39;re running late (can happen for lots of reasons as I%26#39;m sure you know), it%26#39;s cheaper to jump a taxi from Nice than from Monte C.

If you do go to MC, train from Cannes is by far the quickest. However MC back to Nice is a lovely journey along the coast, buses are every 20 mins (trains are not), and the bus station is right beside Nice Old Town.

Bus back to Cannes is quite a long and not very pretty journey so do that by train.

Thanks Buddy, this sounds great!!! See if I got this right... take the train to MonteCarlo, then bus to Nice/or train, and from Nice back to Cannes a cab? sounds good, how far is MonteCarlo to Nice? They say Cannes to MonteCarlo is about an hour by train. Thanks...

Hi there; if you are OK for time; train from Nice back to Cannes but be aware Nice rail station is up in town; good 20 mins walk at least from seafront.

Taxis are expensive but if there are 4 of you; still cheaper than cruise bus tours!

I do think you%26#39;ll be pushed for time; depends if you want to rush and see a little of a lot or take your time and see a lot of a little!

Thanks again, Buddy, after thinking about it, think we would like to find a private tour (we are 4 adults) Can you recommended and private tour/car companies from Cannes?
