I%26#39;ve been looking for a place to spend four nights in mid February in Le Marais. I%26#39;m looking for something nicer around 250 USD per night. I%26#39;ve seen the Hotel Marceau Bastille as well as the Hotel du Moulin online and they both look very nice, so I guess I%26#39;m looking for something on the newer side, rather than something small and dilapidated. I feel like I%26#39;ve seen so much I can%26#39;t tell things apart anymore, so if someone could help set me straight, I%26#39;d appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

The Marceau Bastille looks newish, or at least renovated, but it isn%26#39;t really in the Marais - it%26#39;s between Bastille and Gare de Lyon.
Hotel du Moulin is in the 18th, unless you really mean Hotel Petit Moulin, which was completely renovated within the past couple years:

Their chambre superieure is 250€.
Is the Bretonnerie too traditional for you..?

You can get a junior suite for your money.
I think the Bastille Speria is rather new...

Doubles 142-170€ (seasonal diffs)

Thanks for the advice and for the information on the Marceau Bastille. I do want to be in the Marais, so I won%26#39;t be booking there. Do you have any opinion on Hotel Saint Paul Le Marais?
|||
The nicest hotel I can think of for under 170€ in the Marais is travelnutty%26#39;s recommendation, the Bretonnerie which is exactly in the center of the Marais. This is really a nice little hotel and a lot more charming than most hotels in that price range in Paris.

I can only comment that Hotel St Paul is definitely in the Marais (rue de Sevigne) and I see their website is offering Internet rate discounts... other than that, I%26#39;d just read the TA reviews..

I%26#39;ve looked into the Bretonnerie and it looks like a good option. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can go about booking a room there? I sent an e-mail to the address listed on the website, but I didn%26#39;t see a place on the site to make a reservation. Thanks.
|||
Try travel-in-paris.com/bretonnerie/english.htm
or just google the hotel name. There seem to be quite a few sites offering reservations - the above was the only one I looked at.
|||
Is anyone aware of the validity of this website: http://www.bookingsecure.com ?
I made a reservation using my credit card information for the Hotel Bretonnerie in Paris, but the hotel is not familiar with that website, nor did they receive the reservation information.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I just faked my way through the sign-up form and got an error that says there is no server by that name. Another clue is the lack of %26quot;https%26quot; (as opposed to %26quot;http%26quot;) in the URL address which means there was nothing %26quot;secure%26quot; about the info you were sending. If I were you I%26#39;d contact your credit card company immediately and get their advice.

Thanks for helping me out...this website does seem to be legit and uses verisign, which is where I made the reservation:
https:/…
Has anyone ever used this service as a means to make a hotel reservation? I also sent the link to the hotel to show them to see if they%26#39;re familiar with it.
Thanks again in advance.
