Regarding ParisVisite!!!

I don%26#39;t quite understand how does this ticket work. Can anyone please tell me? Other than that, is this ticket include all the metro line, bus line,Noctilien within the zone that i buy(if i bought zone 1-3)? And where can i buy this ticket? Can i buy it at Porte Maillot Station since i am getting down there? Is it worth it if to compare to Carnet ticket?

We used the Visite pass when we went in November. When you order, you get a little plastic case with a discount book, a metro map, and a multi-use metro ticket. You use the metro ticket just like a regular ticket--insert it into the turnstile--but it pops back up at you on the other side. It%26#39;s %26quot;activated%26quot; the first time you use it. I found it extremely convenient. I%26#39;m not sure what the Carnet is, but being able to use the bus system, too, saved us because of the mass transit strike going on during our visit. Travel was very hit or miss, and having the option to take whatever was available made things easier. The Visite pass covers the buses, RER, and metro within the zone you purchase, along with the cable cars that run up to Sacre Couer in Montmartre. I ordered them online (there are several brokers), but I believe there are purchase points in the city. Truthfully, though, on our next trip at the end of THIS year, we are going to be buying Carte Orange directly from RTP when we land at the airport, instead. It%26#39;s a lot cheaper.

You may purchase a single or multi-day PARIS VISITE transportation pass at the PORTE MAILLOT Metro station upon arrival. A PV valid for Tramsportation Zones 1-3 will include ALL public transportation within all of the City of Paris and a bit beyond--

For a two(2) consecutive-calendar-day PARIS VISITE (Zone 1-3) the price is 14 €,,,which includes UN-limited %26#39;..hop-on/hop-off..%26#39; convenience to all public transportation (RER, Metro, Bus, Tram, Funicular, Noctilien Bus) for the the duration of the PV.

A single CARNET (booklet of 10 reduced-price, individual Tickets) is 11,10€. Each Ticket is good for one(1) ride (including transfers en route..within or between any two adjacent Transportation Zones).
