I have finalized 12 day Provence itinerary. I decided that I wanted to move around and try out a few B%26amp;Bs in the region, even though they are all located within 30-60 minutes from one and other.
Avignon - 2 nights
St-Remy -3 nights
Gordes - 3 nights
Isle de la Sorgue - 3 nights
I have the option of spending 2 nights only in St-Remy and adding a 4th night to Gordes instead. Any suggestions?
I know that while staying in Isle de la Sorgue I will be able to continue visitin some of the interest points (north and south and west of Avignon) which is why I am thinking that perhaps I%26#39;d be better to base myself for 4 nights in Gordes instead...plus perhaps I may be able to make a day trip to Cassis from there?

Interesting - I%26#39;ve just checked viamichelin and it gives very similar time and distance to reach Cassis from Gordes and from St Rémy (about 120 km and under an hour and a half).
If you%26#39;re planning to go out for an evening meal, it might be worth asking for restaurant recommendations in both towns (or checking Frommers), then staying for as many nights as you need! As you say, you can use either location as a basis for any visits you want to make, so it comes down to your preference for the individual B%26amp;B, and possibly the %26#39;dining out%26#39; options.

Do you have a car?
All the places you mention are very close to each other - I would therefore base myself in one place rather than waste valuable holiday time packing/unpacking and checking out and in

Yes...we%26#39;ll have a car. I know what you mean about packing up every 4th day...but once we are in the new location, we%26#39;ll probably save ourselves 30+ minutes each morning, depending on the direction we are heading. Also, each place has excellent reviews for dinner meals.
I was fortunate to get 2 rooms at Ferme Huppe late Sept. since they are filling up quickly. This reservation is in the middle of the 10-day period, only time they could accommodate my preference.
I%26#39;ll think about it some more though. Thanks.

I agree that these places are pretty close together and you can do them all easily from one base.
The area around Gordes/Bonnieux is our preferred area to stay. If you enjoy moving and staying at different places have a think about moving farther east into the Var region and that opens up the landscape into the hills towards Moustier.
Alternatively go north towards Ventoux for another lovely and less crowded area. That again is not moving too far however. The other side of Avignon towards Uzes is another contrasting area.
We stayed near Coustellet and easily did Cassis in a day trip (takes around 80mins)- well worth it!
Why not consider a gite or cottage for a week and self cater - some great markets and produce around the area you are considering. Food is bound to be good then - or you can only blame yourself!
