Hotel Muguet or Hotel Londres Eiffel

Hi, this will be our firt time to Paris. I have been reading this forum for research and you have all been wonderful and generous with all the advices-through all the recommendations I have read, I have narrowed down my choices to these 2 hotels for our family of four-which one would you choose? Thank you.

I don%26#39;t know the Londres Eiffel, but the Muguet is a nice hotel for a good price. The only downside, at the Muguet seems the owner can be a bit of a grump...I%26#39;ve recommended it to people who have told me that although the place was nice, clean, good value, she was rather unwelcoming...which makes me hesitate to recommend it.

I%26#39;ve stayed there two times without witnessing this, but I speak fluent french and know paris well so I have no real need to interact w/ the reception...

Relais Bosquet is in the same area and is very nice.

So is Hotel De Varenne.

My wife and I just returned form Londres Eiffel, prior to Christmas. We had a confirmed reservation at another hotel and this hotel took us in when our other hotel could not help us out due to renovations, 130E for a 6th floor view of the ET. It was GREAT!--staff, location--4 blocks from the Eiffel Tower, 2-3 blocks from Rue Cler, a few blocks from Ecole Militaire metro. Bathrooms were large by our European experience, the ET was visible from our bathroom and the bed--oooh la, la, --- and the lift to our room was great. Go with them. Around the corner are all sorts of patisseries, boulangeries, restaurants, and places where you can buy wine and cheeses. We had several picnics at the ET or on the Seine Boats just below the ET. Pack a good corkscrew. You will need it.

wish we could join you---

Thanks for the advice, now another question, will a triple room be sufficient for 2 adults and 2 kids? We are trying to keep cost down, we are also looking at some apts. in the 7th...any thought? Thanks again!

I can%26#39;t help you on the triple room but all rooms are very small compared to our American expectations. An apartment might be better; others here can help you with that. There are plenty of choices to the point of becoming overwhelmed. Email the hotels to ensure they have larger triple rooms and ask them if other families of 4 have stayed in them.
