In May of this year we are driving from Paris to Sarlat. We leave Paris on the 6th and are due in Sarlat on the 9th. Our travelling companions have not been to Monets Garden or Mont St Michel. I thought that a possible itinerary might be: Paris; Monets Garden; Normandy; Mont St Michel;Nantes then I%26#39;m lost.
I really have no idea how long to allow at various locations. I would really appreciate any itinerary suggestions that anyone might have.
Thanks

Giverny, Normandy, and Mont St Michel are well to the north of Paris; Sarlat is 300 miles south of Paris.
Take a look at www.viamichelin.com -- you can view maps and plan your routes -- you%26#39;d be making an enormous circle around the perimeter of France to make such a trip.
Perhaps you could stop in the Loire for a couple of days -- the chateaux there are well worth a visit - then you would have only a 4 hour drive to Sarlat from there (via the motorways)
