Please help with apartment location

My husband and I are looking at renting an apartment for 4 nights. Two that I am considering are located at rue Berthollet near rue Claude Bernard (arrondissement 5) or rue Temple near rue Bretagne (arrondissement 3). How are these locations? The first is near some huge building structure-any idea what it is. I would like to be in an area with character that is pleasant and safe to walk around and near a subway station. Finding a 4 night apartment rental is challenging....

i would consider the 3th, rue du Temple, though the 5th is not to bad, it%26#39;s a quite area, a big hospital Val de Grace (must be the huge building), many schools, not so animated the evening and no metro station around there ...Why don%26#39;t you try www.vrbo.com/8471 in the 6th ...

well, that link didn%26#39;t work but search on rue berthollet, paris 75005 and then use the Satellite view...

Philpetrus is right, this big building is the military hospital of Val de Grâce.

I would choose the Marais location. I like the rue du Temple vey much and the location is more central.

I am now considering very close to Square Marche Ste. Catherine in the 4th Arondissement; rue Vielle du Temple near Roi de Sicile (4)or rue Monmartre just south of Etienne Marcelle (1st). Decision-making is not my forte.

I am sure you will love the neighborhood. Exploring the Marais is wonderful and you will enjoy easy nice walks to Ile Saint Louis and left bank or to Le Louvre / Palais Royal.

Quito, you make me remember the 3 nice weeks we spent in Mississauga in 2005 with a very successful home exchange ! We loved Toronto and your region !
