Hi there
Later in the year we are going to stay in Marina Brai Des Anges which we believe to be about 8 miles fron Nice airport.
Rather than rent a car, we are hoping to use the rail
service for visiting the various resorts along the coast. We have stayed in Nice before and used the train, but I am finding it hard to find any info on the internet about train services along the coast and discounts for seniors.
Any help would be very appreciated!
Have fun,
Trish

Hi,
Try looking at www.voyages.sncf.com and clicking on the english icon.
There is a senior card which costs 55 euros and gives discounts on all trains, but you%26#39;ll have to make quite a few journeys to get your money back.
If you%26#39;re travelling between July and September the Carte Isabelle is available from all rail stations - very good value at around 12 euros (available to adults of all ages) and which gives 1 day unlimited travel on all the local trains from Ventimiglia in Italy all the way to San Raphael and up to Grasse.
Anglo Info has a good public transport summary
…angloinfo.com/af/18/riviera-travel-and-tour…
Hope this is of some use!

Many thanks for your swift reply, which is very useful. wWe love this part of France so we are looking forward to using the public transport and seeing more of the area.
