after a long day of walking, walking and more walking...we like to find a nice place to eat around the Eiffel Tower (view is not necessary/moderate prices). any suggestions? or is it best to head over to the Rue Cler area? initially, i thought about buying some stuff around this area and then head back to the Champs du Mars for a picnic, but it%26#39;s February...might be a bit chilly.
thank you for any suggestions!

hi there rabbitz!
we are here in paris now and have an apt just steps from the ET. there are two rgood cafes just up from the towere... cafe du champs, and cafe le dome - walk up the champs du mars til you reach the ave de bouvard (there%26#39;s usually a bunch of tour buses parked there), then walk left til you reach the intersection of ave de boucard and bourdelais - they both will be on the corner facing you.
hope this helps!

Hi,
I can recommend the Café de l%26#39;Homme at the Musee del%26#39;Homme (Trocadero)...

Hi Ang192, thank you for your response but i am having difficulty finding all the above street names. i can%26#39;t find on my map or google maps. do you mean %26quot;Avenue Joseph Bouvard%26quot; pls clarify the street names. also, are these two places open on Sunday?
thanks again!

%26quot;....cafe du champs, and cafe le dome - walk up the champs du mars til you reach the ave de bouvard (there%26#39;s usually a bunch of tour buses parked there), then walk left til you reach the intersection of ave de boucard and bourdelais....%26quot;
That would be %26quot;ave Joseph Bouvard%26quot; and %26quot;ave de la Bourdonnais%26quot;.

Le Ptit Troquet
Le Florimond
La Fontaine de Mars
|||
I had the worst meal I%26#39;ve ever eaten in Paris at Le Dome behind the Champs de Mars. Just horrid.
|||
we are going to Le Florimond the following day. any other suggestions?
thanks Les68! Le Petit Troquet is closed on Sunday. i think we may try Le Fontaine de Mars.
|||
can someone confirm if La Fontaine de Mars is open on Sunday and if reservation is necessary. we like to take our time and make our way to the restaurant after seeing the Eiffel Tower. thank you!
|||
I checked several listings and it seems consistent that the restaurant is open 7/7.

Hi,
Just been to Paris and Cafe de Trocadero, on roundabout at Trocadero, is very good. You can sit outside (as we just did) with a great view of the Eiffel Tower. Walk over the river, go directly across and up steps and the cafe is opposite side of the road. Cafe Klebber looked very popular too, but didn%26#39;t go in there as no spare tables.
