HI -- our group will include two young ladies who have been to clubs in Paris (liked) Barcelona (liked) Ibiza (liked) Sorrento (hated) and Capri (liked). I think Sorrento was too down market. They are graciously traveling with their mothers but we expect they will want to strike out on their own at night. I was planning to park us all in Nice for a few days on the theory that they would find some clubs there that might be lacking in VSM, for example (they could go by train at night but I would not turn them loose with a car). They are not Irish pub/tourist bar types...so, any insights on where they might find some chic clubs in that area would be appreciated. Also, we may go down to St. Tropez so I am wondering about that area for the same purpose. This trip will be in June 2008. Thanks!

I was kind of watching for an answer to this one too, so I%26#39;m bumping it. C%26#39;mon, there%26#39;s gotta be some dance clubs or the like for young people in Nice!

I think this OP might get more responses if the topic read: %26quot;girls up there on the scales%26quot;.
There%26#39;s plenty to do for such fine ladies ~ no need at all to %26quot;slum it%26quot; in Irish pubs . Good place to start would be with the research button. Chic clubs %26#39;a~plenty%26#39;!
My only caution would be, that in June, St. Tropez might be a bit of a let-down, if the expectations are, shall we say, too grand? ... but the weather is gorgeous!

Sorry, Soames. I usually check the search bar before I ask questions, but just plumb forgot this time. My Fellow Floridian - check out this post

If you type nightclubs Nice in the search bar, there are others.

Does %26quot;upscale%26quot; mean rather heavy, or in UK terms, mean rather posh? Do you mean %26quot;upmarket%26quot;? If so just hang around the yachts for upscale %26quot;friends%26quot;.

St Tropez- try out le Millionnaire
Monaco - le Jimmyz
Cannes- Le Palais
Nice - great salsa bar/restaurant on 3 floors: La Bodeguita

The club in St Topez is Le Cave du Roy, not le Millionnaire....Sorry !
